In perioada in care lotul Universitatii Craiova are programat stagii de pregatire in Antalya si la Coverciano cel putin opt jucatori olteni ar putea fi convocati la echipele nationale. E posibil sa avem chiar 8 jucatori la echipele nationale, ori lipsa a 8 titulari in ultimele amicale nu face deloc bine echipei, dar e vorba de echipa nationala si nu avem incotro ! Doar atunci cand jucam eu la echipa nationala au mai fost astfel de probleme cand erau chiar si 11 jucatori convocati la Nationala, chiar inaintea meciului din semifinalele cupei UEFA cu Benfica Lisabona. Ar fi fost mult mai bine ca jucatorii sa fie lasati sa se antreneze alaturi de echipele de club, dar pe de alta parte sunt vitale si interesele echipei nationale, care are nevoie de amicale in vederea partidelor cu Serbia de la Constanta si apoi cu Austria. A fost prost ales momentul meciului cu Serbia ! a spus Balaci pentru GSPTV.
